The research found that the prices of various drinks between different ‘Spoons can vary wildly, with the same drink potentially double the price at one pub compared to another elsewhere in the country. The research incorporated some 300,000 data points and found, among other things, that the average price of a pint of Carling has increased 11% on average in ‘Spoons across the country since September 2022.

In some London Wetherspoons like Ice Wharf, a pint of Carling can cost as much as £5.29. Meanwhile, in others like Holoway’s The Coronet or Peckham’s Kentish Drovers, it can be as cheap as £2.88.

Certain drinks have remarkable fluctuations in price depending on where you order them and none more so than a bottle of Teresa Rizzi Prosecco, which according to the Tipple Finder, costs £11.56 at its cheapest and £35.15 at its most dear.

Pantry & Larder’s Veronica Fletcher said: "Drink prices vary significantly across the UK. And it's not just as simple as London being more expensive than the rest of the UK. For example, a pint of Carling at my local in Southampton costs £3.11. Less than three miles away, the same drink is 13% cheaper. Interestingly, certain drinks such as a bottle of Budweiser or Corona are notably cheaper in Scotland.”
