The beautiful European city with 16 amazing beaches where it’s 21C in December

A beautiful European city with 16 gorgeous beaches is warm year round, reaching the 20s in December, making it the perfect getaway for some winter sun.

The seaside city of Málaga , which was the birthplace of Picasso, is popular among holidaymakers in the summer but should not be written off in the winter.

Sat on the Costa del Sol, the city enjoys sunshine for around 300 days a year and an average temperature in the summer of 30C.

But despite it being December, the city is still enjoying mild weather as this weekend, Málaga has a forecast of 21C.

It has lots of things to visit including fortified palace Alcazaba, the Cathedral, Museo Picasso, hiking path El Caminito del Ray, Castillo de Gibralfaro, shopping street La Calle Larios and the Roman Theatre.

There is also a number of beaches to enjoy such as Puerto Banus, Malgueta, El Palo, Raven Rock, Burriana, Monsul and Cantarrijan.

The city has lots of award-winning spots, including bakery La Pasteleria Daza which took home ‘best cake in Spain’ and restaurant La Garganta winning ‘most committed to sustainability’.

Those who have visited the city described it on Tripadvisor as “beautiful” with friendly locals. It has also been called “just stunning” and “one of the best places to party”.

Málaga was also named among the best cities in the world to live for pensioners by Forbes magazine due to its friendly locals, good weather and affordable housing.

There are many hotels, resorts and holiday villas that people cn stay in while visiting the seaside city.

Visitors can get to Málaga with flights taking just under three hours leaving from London, Manchester and Liverpool by Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyJet and more.
