A British mum on death row has told how her packed cell is a "living hell" as she awaits an execution date for killing her husband.
Living out what could be her final days in the Indian prison system where she will be hanged over the murder of her husband by poisoning his biryani, Ramandeep Kaur Mann, 38, claims she is crammed in her cell with 55 other lags.
She was found guilty of murdering husband Sukhjit Singh, 34, while the duo were on holiday in India. A court has since ruled Mann carried out the throat-slitting murder after he fell into a deep sleep to try and cash in on his £2million life insurance with her lover.

Residing in Shahjahanpur District Jail in Uttar Pradesh as she awaits execution, Mann is now sharing a living space with dozens of other inmates, sleeping on a dirty floor in a dormitory-style building.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Mann said: "It's horrendous, it's like being in hell – both this prison and the bigger situation that I find myself in. It's the worst thing that has happened to me. I feel so alone, I haven't made any friends in here and I just keep myself to myself.
"The food and the conditions are really awful. I don't speak to anyone, and I don't want to do anything. I just spend the whole day sitting around crying. I have suffered a miscarriage of justice. I haven't done anything wrong. I was framed and now I'm rotting in this jail."
She later claimed there was "nobody helping me" and that she desperately needs help. She claims not even the British High Commission had been to aid her, and her parents have since headed home to the UK. Her eldest child even witnessed the grisly murder, the court heard.
Mann added: "When I heard that I had been sentenced to death I was in such shock that I didn't know what to say. I still can't believe what's happening to me. But I want people to know my story. There are no words to describe what a bad situation this is for me."
Mann's lover Gurpreet Singh was also sentenced over the murder, but was handed a life sentence rather than the death penalty. Mann has since been left bathing in cold water, chowing down on stale chapatis and using a soiled toilet.
She is also the only foreign prisoner inside the jail. Jail Superintendent Mijaji Lal said: "We are doing our best to look after her because we understand that things must be very difficult for Mann. We're encouraging her to take up a sport like badminton or run English classes for the other inmates."
But Mann said: "I can't bring myself to do anything because everything is so horrible and horrendous, I don't know what the future holds for me." She was found guilty in September 2016 of her husband's murder, which she allegedly plotted with Sukhjit's childhood pal Gurpreet Singh.
Mann had mixed sleeping pills into a biryani she made for her husband, which was eaten by Sukhjit and their then six-year-old son, Aryan. Eldest child Arjun, then aged nine, was reportedly disturbed by muffled noises in the other room later that night and went to investigate, where he found Mann smothering her husband, the court heard.
Mann maintains her innocence, adding: "I've been saying it since the start, I'm innocent. I've been framed. This is a miscarriage of justice. His family framed me."
Mann allegedly began dating Gurpreet during a family holiday to Dubai in 2015. It continued upon their return to the UK, where the pair plotted the death of Sukhjit.
Gurpreet confessed to the crime and insisted that he was asked by Mann to buy a knife and a hammer after she told him: "I want to kill him. You have to help me."
He was, however, spared the death penalty and instead sentenced to life imprisonment and fined £3,000. Mann, as she was taken away by prison officers, added: "I just want to go home."
An Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesperson said: "We are supporting a British woman detained in India and are in contact with the Indian authorities."
The British High Commission has been contacted for comment.
